The Duke of Cambridge paid a touching tribute to his mother Diana, Princess of Wales’s work on Monday. Prince William took part in a special training day at a North London School, highlighting the problem of cyber-bullying and LGBT bullying in Britain’s schools.
The Diana Award, who have specialist staff, visited the school alongside William to brief parents and teachers on practical tips to prevent bullying.

The Diana Award is a lasting legacy to Diana, Princess of Wales’s belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better. The Diana Award identifies and develops young people before engaging them in social action. The charity has the support of Prince William and Prince Harry as well as their team at the Royal Charities Forum of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson commented, “William visited Diana Award Ambassadors in South Shields in 2013. He hopes it will help de-stigmatise bullying issues in schools. He particularly likes the idea of a peer-led support network to prevent any child or young person suffering in silence. That’s what he’s keen to see in action on Monday.”
The Diana Award prides itself on doing three things, encouraging, empowering and engaging children and young people. They achieve this through their four programmes, The Award, networking, anti-bullying programmes and mentoring programmes all of which inspire and recognise social action in young people.
The Diana Award has a whole host of famous Patrons, Trustees and Ambassadors including Prime Minister David Cameron, Esther Rantzen, Sinitta and Carrie Grant. Since 1999, the Diana Award has recognised over 44,000 young people who have made a positive difference to their community.
William was very participatory as he interacted in all the workshops that were put on as well as engaging with students who are involved with the Diana Award.

One of the activities included writing on a hand who are e five people that you confide in. William wrote his wife Catherin, his brother Prince Harry as well as his grandparents, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. He even included Lupo, his dog as his five confidants.
Later on Monday, Willia presented the Wales’ cap presentation at the Guildhall in London. Whilst there, William, the Vice Royal Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union nailed his colours to the mast saying “Cymru am byth/Forever Wales!”
