The Duchess of Cambridge has revealed that her youngest child, Princess Charlotte, has a feisty side despite her harmless exterior.
Speaking after the national service of thanksgiving for The Queen, Catherine said: “Oh, she [Charlotte] is very cute but she has got quite a feisty side.”
The Duchess said that she believed it would be one year old Princess Charlotte keeping her brother Prince George in check. However, she now believes it might be the other way around.
Catherine, 34, was overheard saying these remarks about her daughter at a reception at the Guildhall, shortly after the service in St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday morning for Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday.
The Duchess of Cambridge attended the service wearing a coat by Catherine Walker and a hat by Jane Taylor.
She joined 52 other members of the Royal Family who were also at St Paul’s Cathedral for the service.
The Queen’s birthday celebrations will continue into the weekend.
On Saturday, The Queen’s Birthday Parade, Trooping the Colour will take place on Horseguards Parade. Senior members of the Royal Family, including the Duchess of Cambridge, will join Her Majesty on this occasion.
They will then travel back to Buckingham Palace to make their annual appearance on the balcony to watch the RAF flypast.
It is likely Prince George (and possibly Princess Charlotte) will make an appearance with the rest of the family also. Prince George did last year, much to the delight of the crowds on The Mall.
On Sunday, the Patron’s Lunch will attract 10,000 guests to the Mall outside of Buckingham Palace where they will take part in a huge street party. Tickets, which cost £150 per person, are being allocated through a ballot system and will see thousands of people will join guests from more than 600 charities of which The Queen is patron.
The Queen’s grandson Peter Philips organised the event for his grandmother who is said to be “very touched” by the country’s affection of her.
Keep visiting Royal Central over the weekend for special coverage of Her Majesty’s official birthday.
