The Duchess of Cambridge attended a Royal garden party hosted by Her Majesty The Queen for the second time today, at Buckingham Palace.
This is the first of three Royal garden parties to be held at Buckingham Palace this year and around 8ooo guests attended, including Olympic champions and organisers from London 2012. Catherine chatted to the crowds, and spoke with a Macmillan nurse who she thanked for their work when her grandfather was ill in 2010. He died shortly before the engagement of William and Kate was announced.
The Duchess, who is now in the third trimester of pregnancy, looked radiant in a lemon yellow coat dress by New Zealand-born designer, Emilia Wickstead as she mingled with guests alongside HM The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, her father-in-law The Prince of Wales and his wife The Duchess of Cornwall. She wore Russell and Bromley ‘Park Avenue’ heels with a clutch to match called ‘5th Avenue’ along with the fascinator by Jane Corbett first seen at the Royal Order of the Garter procession in June 2012.
The Duchess wore a rose pink dress by the same Emilia Wickstead when she attended the event for the first time in May 2012.
It is thought Catherine will not attend any of the other parties, as she begins to slow down towards the birth in July, but we may be surprised at an appearance in the near future.
