William will return to Wembley on 30 May to watch England take on Peru in an international friendly match. This will be the final fixture before England travels to Miami for a bit of training as they prepare to head to the World Cup in Brazil.

In 2006, The Duke was in Cardiff to present his first FA Cup when Liverpool beat West Ham on penalties after a 3-3 draw. In 2007, the FA Cup returned to Wembley after a rebuild. The Prince watched as Chelsea beat Manchester United in extra time 1-0. The last match he attended was in 2010 handed Portsmouth handed Chelsea a 1-0 defeat.

A keen lover of the sport, The Prince played a pivotal role in last year’s 150th year anniversary celebration as he hosted a match on the grounds of Buckingham Palace and a dinner honouring the FA’s founding.

The Duke met the England team when he opened St George’s Park, the FA’s national football centre in October 2012.

“The whole country is looking forward to what promises to be a spectacular World Cup in Brazil and I am sure His Royal Highness, like everyone else at a packed Wembley, will enjoy a special atmosphere as we wave Roy Hodgson and the squad off to the finals,” FA chairman Greg Dyke stated.
