New photos of Prince George have been released today to mark his first day at nursery.
The two photos, which were taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, show the young prince standing in front of the mural on the outside of his nursery.
He attended his first day at Westacre Montessori School Nursery today.
When the news was announced last month that the third in line to the throne would be attending Westacre Montessori, the nursery said: “We are looking forward to welcoming George to our nursery where he will get the same special experience as all of our children.”
In the images, Prince George is wearing a dark blue coat with a sky blue rucksack.
Royal aides said that the day went well for Prince George, but didn’t comment on whether there were any tears.
George’s father, Prince William, attended the Jane Mynors nursery school in London when he was a toddler. Unlike his father’s city upbringing, George’s education begins in the country inn King’s Lynn, near Anmer Hall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Norfolk home.
Also in contrast to Prince William’s first day at nursery, the media were not allowed to attend the event and it was kept a private occasion.
I think the threats on the Royal Family are more realistic than 30 odd years ago so they are being very sensible keepingh im out of London and living most of his childhood in the country.
He’s so damn cute I could just kiss him forever. Absolutely adorable.
