‘I’m really excited’: Taylor Swift reveals ahead of performance for Prince William

Superstar Taylor Swift has revealed she is looking forward to performing for Prince William at the Winter Whites Gala on November 26.

“I’m really excited,” the singer told BBC Radio 2. “I’m really stoked, it’s the first royal engagement I’ve done and I feel very honoured.”

The ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ singer will join rock heroes Bon Jovi and British singer James Blunt at the winter concert, which will take place at Kensington Palace.

Prince WIlliam will attend the event solo as the Duchess of Cambridge stays home and Taylor is already anticipating a royal meet-and-greet.

“I’ve been asking about that [etiquette], I think I’m safe if I just shake hands and be polite,” she explained.

“I think it’s presumptuous to assume I’ll meet them, so first I’m going to be polite enough to not assume I’ll meet them.”

During the event, which hopes to raise money for the charity, Prince William will deliver a speech and honour Jon Bon Jovi for his charity work.

The musician will receive the award in recognition of his work with the Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, which helps families and young people across the United States escape the harsh conditions of poverty.

William has been patron of Centrepoint since 2005 after taking inspiration from his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, who worked with the organisation.

During the eight years, the Prince has visited the charity’s headquarters several times solo and with Kate. He also spent a night rough on the streets to highlight the real problems faced by young people who are homeless.
