Proud uncle Harry and aunt Meghan have wished their nephew, Prince Louis a happy birthday on Instagram.
When Kensington Palace posted images on their Instagram account last night sharing the new photos for Louis’s first birthday, Harry and Meghan commented under the post saying, “Happy Birthday Louis! Sending lots of love from both of us [heart] xo.”
The Duchess of Sussex was an avid social media user before joining the Royal Family and shutting down her accounts. It has been suspected that she does some of the postings on the Instagram account, and the comment from last night seems to support that.
Of course, she joins several royals from all over the world in personally posting from their accounts. Princess Eugenie controls her Instagram account, and Princess Madeleine of Sweden manages both her Facebook and Instagram accounts. Others who run their own accounts include Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden, Princess Tessy of Luxembourg, and Princess Märtha Louise and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are due to welcome their first child any day now. The child will join older cousins, Prince George (5), Princess Charlotte (3), and Prince Louis (1).
If the baby is born on 2 May, he or she will share a birthday with their cousin Princess Charlotte.
The birth of Baby Sussex will be private in stark contrast to the births of the three Cambridge children. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not announced where the Duchess will give birth, and there will be no posing on hospital steps to present their child to the world.
The birth is expected to be announced on Their Royal Highnesses Instagram account after the family has had time to celebrate privately together.
