The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to announce her first engagements since giving birth within the next month.
Clarence House have confirmed new mum Kate will announce her return to royal duties in a “matter of weeks rather than months,” according to The Mirror.
The Duchess, who gave birth to Prince George just last week, will announce her first engagements since going on maternity leave.
Kate went on maternity leave in mid-June after attending her final solo engagement in Southampton where she officially christened the cruise ship ‘Royal Princess’ before joining the Royal Family for her final appearance at this year’s Trooping the Colour, the Queen’s annual birthday parade.
A then heavily pregnant Kate smiled and waved to the crowds showing off her blossoming baby bump just weeks before her due-date. In the final weeks leading up the Prince George’s arrival, the Duchess split her time between the couple’s London home at Kensington Palace and her parents’ house in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
Last week, Kate gave birth to the mini monarch-to-be in the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hopsital in Paddington, London. The proud parents left the hospital the next day smiling as they gave the world the first glimpse of Prince George.
On Wednesday morning, it was announced Prince William will attend his first royal engagement since the birth of the couple’s first child.
The Duke of Cambridge will visit the Anglesey Show, in Anglesey, Wales on August 14th. The new father is expected to make a formal announcement about his next career move soon.
