Kensington Palace has released new images tonight of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family (Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1) privately visiting the RHS ‘Back to Nature’ Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show on Sunday afternoon.
The photos were taken by Matt Porteous while at the Chelsea Flower Show on Sunday.
The Duchess of Cambridge helped to design the garden, and Kensington Palace revealed a sneak peek at the garden yesterday.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have helped gather moss, leaves and twigs to be included in the ‘Back to Nature’ Garden over the past few months.
Kensington Palace also revealed that the Duchess has been interviewed by the BBC’s Monty Don over the RHS Garden.
“I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young children. I really hope that this woodland that we have created really inspires families, kids and communities to get outside, enjoy nature and the outdoors, and spend quality time together,” the Duchess said in the interview.
The interview, which will be the Duchess of Cambridge’s first solo television interview, with Monty Don will air on 20 May at 19.30 on BBC One.
With the sneak peek yesterday, the Duchess released a short statement saying, “I believe that spending time outdoors when we are young can play a role in laying the foundations for children to become happy, healthy adults.”
The ‘Back to Nature’ Garden was designed in cooperation with award-winning landscape architects Andrée Davies and Adam White.
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show will take place this year from 21 to 25 May.
