Baby Cambridge 4.0? Bookies slash odds on a fourth royal baby for William and Kate

If the bookies are to be believed, another Cambridge baby could soon be on the way: the odds have been slashed on the announcement of Kate’s fourth pregnancy.

Speaking to The Sun online, a bookmaker.tv spokesperson said that “The odds of Kate and William sharing some good news soon have taken another plunge.

“The latest betting definitely suggests there could be an announcement around the corner and when it comes, bookies should brace themselves for the biggest royal betting frenzy of all time.”

The current odds on a fourth Baby Cambridge – following Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who was born in April 2018 – have been slashed to 2/1, which is a marker that perhaps some royal news is about to break.

Of course, if Kate does announce another pregnancy, it won’t be through the bookies, it’ll be through the official channels at Kensington Palace.

It’s worth pointing out that there will always be speculation on whether Kate is pregnant, or, if she is, what the gender and name of the baby will be. Royal betting is not a new game. George, Charlotte and Louis were all considered strong name possibilities with each of Kate’s pregnancies.

In fact, this isn’t the first time since giving birth to Prince Louis that bookies have slashed the odds of a fourth pregnancy: in November 2018, the bookies at Bookies Coral announced that odds on Baby Cambridge #4 were 1/2 – meaning it was 50% likely that there would be another baby.

At the time, a spokesperson told The Daily Express that, “Our odds show that there’s every chance that Kate and William might add to their growing family, and a fourth baby is certainly a possibility.

“We’ve taken some bets over the last two weeks or so on it happening and there’s a real buzz around the Royal Family at the moment with Meghan expecting.”
