HRH The Duke of Edinburgh

Monday 12th August

His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh returns to public duties following his convalescence from exploratory abdominal surgery in June. His Royal Highness is presenting Royal Medals at The Royal Society of Edinburgh, Scotland’s national academy.  In 2000 Her Majesty The Queen established the Royal Medals as an annual award for Scottish academics of distinction and international repute.

Wednesday 14th August

Today His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge undertakes his first public engagement since becoming a father. The Duke is visiting the Anglesey Show, where His Royal Highness will see gundog and falconry displays and cattle judging before meeting local Young Farmers.

His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex is visiting Glasgow as Vice Patron of The Commonwealth Games Federation. Glasgow is hosting the 20th Commonwealth Games in 2014 and The Earl is visiting venues including the Tollcross International Swimming Centre and the athlete’s village.

Friday 16th August

The Earl of Wessex continues his duties as Vice Patron of The Commonwealth Games Federation in Glasgow today. His Royal Highness is attending the Commonwealth Games Federation General Assembly at the Hilton Hotel. The Earl is also attending a Gala Variety Performance at the Beacon Arts Centre in Renfrewshire.
