The Queen and Prince Philip

The Queen and Prince Philip welcome Lieutenant Governors from Crown Dependencies on Thursday.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh hosts a dinner at Frogmore House on Monday. The Duke welcomes representatives of the Outward Bound Trust, an organisation that helps young people develop teamwork, leadership and communicating skills. Frogmore House is located close to Windsor Castle and used regularly by members of the Royal Family for official functions and to privately entertain guests.

On Monday Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit Mons Barracks in Aldershot for the 1st Battalion Irish Guards’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade. At the parade The Duchess of Cambridge is presenting traditional sprigs of shamrocks to the regiment’s officers and guardsmen. The Duke is Colonel of the Regiment.

His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex visits Monmouthshire on Monday. The Earl is opening the North Resource Centre at Tredegar; the Diamond Jubilee Square at St Michael’s Church, Abertillery; and the Almshouses at Monmouth School, Monmouth.

On Monday Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex visits the House of Lords for an event for her charity The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

Tuesday 18th March

The Earl of Wessex entertains guests at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. His Royal Highness is hosting a lunch as Vice Patron of The Commonwealth Games Federation and a dinner as Patron of The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

The Countess of Wessex visits Surrey on Tuesday to open the Special Care Baby Unit at Frimley Park Hospital. Her Royal Highness is also hosting a lunch at Bagshot Park as Patron of charity Meningitis Now.

On Tuesday Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal carries out engagements Suffolk and London. In Newmarket, The Princess is chairing a meeting as President of the Animal Health Trust. In London, Princess Anne is attending the Torch Trophy Trust’s annual awards ceremony at the Army and Navy Club and a dinner as Patron of Opportunity International United Kingdom.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester travels to Cumbria on Tuesday. Prince Richard is opening Brimstone Hotel in Great Langdale; visiting the Youth Station at Wigton; opening the Three Solway Churches’ Development Project in Carlisle; and visiting the Safety Net advice and support centre in Carlisle.

On Tuesday His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent visits Berkshire. Prince Edward is opening the Jubilee Pavilion at the QEII Playing Fields in Earley; visiting community leisure facility Sports Able in Maidenhead; and visiting Katesgrove Primary School in Maidenhead.

Wednesday 19th March

At St. James’s Palace on Wednesday, The Duke of Edinburgh welcomes young people who have reached the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

The Countess of Wessex visits Suffolk on Wednesday. In Ipswich, The Countess is opening the Heart Centre at Ipswich Hospital and visiting The Genesis Orwell Mencap and Headway, the Brain Injury Association.

On Wednesday The Princess Royal carries out engagements in Surrey and London. In Camberley, Princess Anne is visiting the Defence Logistics School as Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Logistic Corps. In London, Her Royal Highness is hosting a Buckingham Palace reception for young achievers as Commandant-in-Chief (Youth) of St John Ambulance. The Princess is also attending the Cavell Nurses’ Trust Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Fishmongers Hall as President of the Edith Cavell Centenary Appeal.

The Duke of Gloucester is meeting health ministers from Brazil on Wednesday. His Royal Highness attends the reception at the Orangery in Kensington Gardens, London.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester travels to West Sussex on Wednesday. The Duchess opens The Woodger Wing at The Witterings Medical Centre in Chichester and visits The Aldingbourne Country Centre in Norton.

The Duke of Kent visits Guildford on Wednesday. As Chancellor of the University of Surrey, His Royal Highness is launching the 5G Innovation Centre.

Thursday 20th March

Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh host a reception for Lieutenant Governors of the Crown Dependencies on Thursday.

On Thursday Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall visits The City Academy in London. The Duchess is attending an event as Patron of the National Literacy Trust to celebrate the ‘Words for Work’ programme, which aims to make young people from disadvantaged backgrounds more employable by teaching literacy and employability skills.

The Earl of Wessex visits the London Borough of Croydon on Thursday. Prince Edward is marking 25 years of The London Mozart Players’ residency at Croydon’s Fairfield Halls arts centre. The Earl, Patron of the Players, will see a performance of the ‘Fairfield Orchestral Series’.

On Thursday The Countess of Wessex carries out engagements in London. Her Royal Highness is attending a prizegiving lunch at the RAF Club as Patron of the Combined Services Winter Sports Association and a dinner at The Cavalry and Guards Club as Colonel-in-Chief of the Corps of Army Music.

The Princess Royal is working in Essex and London on Thursday. In Essex, Princess Anne is touring extensive renovations at Colchester Castle and visiting home improvement suppliers Kent Blaxill and Company Limited to mark their 175th anniversary. In London, The Princess Royal is hosting The Butler Trust’s Annual Award Ceremony at Buckingham Palace and a Special Forces Club event at the Tower of London’s Royal Armouries. The Princess is Patron of both organisations.

On Thursday The Duke of Gloucester is attending The Duke of Gloucester’s Young Achievers Awards in London. The Duke of Gloucester’s Young Achievers Scheme is run by the Duke’s charity, The Construction Youth Trust. It rewards the achievements of young construction professionals and aims to help the careers of people from all backgrounds.

The Duchess of Gloucester visits the Royal Academy of Music in London on Thursday. As President of the Academy, Her Royal Highness will see a production of Royal Academy Opera Ariodante.

Friday 21st March

On Friday Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh are opening new premises in London for the touring contemporary dance company Rambert.

The Princess Royal is attending a service at Croydon Minster as Court Assistant of The Fishmongers’ Company. The service marks the 400th anniversary of Whitgift Foundation Founder’s Day. Founder’s Day marks the anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone at Croydon’s Hospital of the Holy Trinity. After the service The Princess attends a lunch at the Old Palace of John Whitgift School.
