HRH The Duchess of Cornwall opens a new cancer caring centre on Monday.

Monday 23rd September

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall is in Aberdeen today to open the new Maggie’s Centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The Duchess is President of Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, which offer practical and emotional support to anyone affected by cancer.

His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex visits the North West of England today. In Wigan, The Earl is opening Wigan University Technical College and tours Wigan Youth Zone. His Royal Highness also opens St. Catherine’s Health Centre in Birkenhead and Liverpool Central Library.

Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex is in Qatar as Patron of Vision 2020: The Right to Sight and Global Ambassador of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness.  The Countess is visiting the ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital at Doha International Airport and attending a dinner at the British Embassy in Doha.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent is in Nottinghamshire to see the Forest Recreation Ground Heritage Lottery Fund Restoration Project. The project secured £5.2m to improve the recreation ground’s entrances, visitor information, paths and planting. The project included the restoration and refurbishment of the ground’s pavilion with a café, offices and toilets.

Tuesday 24th September

The Countess of Wessex continues her engagements in Qatar. Her Royal Highness is visiting the Qatar Foundation and Qatar Science Technology Park in Doha.

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke & Duchess of Gloucester visit the Goldsmiths’ Fair at Goldsmiths’ Hall in London today. Later The Duke attends the Horace Walpole Birthday Dinner at Strawberry Hill House as Royal Patron of the Strawberry Hill House Trust. The Trust was formed in August 2002 to restore Horace Walpole’s gothic villa and open it the public.

The Duke of Kent visits Derby today. His Royal Highness will see Toyota cars manufactured at Toyota’s factory at Burnaston and visit Repton School.

Wednesday 25th September

Today the Earl of Wessex hosts two Duke of Edinburgh gold award ceremonies at St. James’s Palace and chairs a board meeting of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation at Buckingham Palace. The Earl of Wessex is also attending a Windsor Festival concert at Windsor Castle to mark the Sixtieth Anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation.

The Duchess of Gloucester visits St. Paul’s Church, The Actors’ Church in London. Her Royal Highness is attending a service and formally opening the Diamond Jubilee Garden at St. Paul’s Church.

Thursday 26th September

Today His Royal Highness Prince Harry attends an event in London for his charity MapAction. During disasters, MapAction produce vital maps so aid agencies can get help to where it’s needed.

Today The Duke of Gloucester visits Bristol. His Royal Highness is opening Pegasus House in Filton; presenting The Queen’s Award for Enterprise to Metryx Ltd at Aztec West; and visiting Bristol and Bath Science Park at Emersons Green.

The Duchess of Gloucester is in Surrey to visit King Edward’s School in Godalming.

Friday 27th September

South Wales welcomes Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal today. In Swansea, The Princess visits the Wales National Pool; the restored Oystermouth Castle in Mumbles; and the 360 Beach and Water Sports Centre. Her Royal Highness is also visiting the Cardiff Youth Offending Service as Patron of The Butler Trust, a charity that works for excellence in UK prisons, probation and youth justice.

The Duke & Duchess of Gloucester attend a concert in aid of Gloucester for the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association at Gloucester Cathedral today.

Saturday 28th September

The Duke of Kent is attending a London Philharmonic Orchestra concert at the Royal Festival Hall today. His Royal Highness is Patron of the Orchestra, founded by Sir Thomas Beecham in 1932.
