Royal Engagements This Week (25 March)

Rich Carter takes Royal Central through this week’s engagements for the Royal Family.

Monday 25 March
HRH The Prince of Wales attended a Campaign For Wool reception at Somerset House and TRH The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester visited the British Museum to see the ‘Life and Death: Pompeii and Herculaneum’ exhibition.

Tuesday 26 March
A busy working day for the Royal Family. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh carried out engagements in Scotland. His Royal Highness reopened The Highlanders’ Museum at Fort George, Inverness; visited The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders’ War Memorial Youth Club in Inverness; and attended a meeting and dinner at the Speculative Society in Edinburgh.

HRH The Prince of Wales attended the UK finals of The Prince’s Trust & Samsung Celebrate Success Awards at The Odeon on Leicester Square in London; while HRH The Duchess of Cornwall visited Toynbee Hall and the Bethnal Green Branch of the London Community Credit Union.

HRH The Countess of Wessex held a concert and dinner at St. James’s Palace for Meningitis Trust and HRH The Princess Royal held a reception at Buckingham Palace for The Jubilee Woods Project. The Princess Royal also attended a Scotch Beef Club ‘Rediscover Steak’ workshop at Butchers’ Hall and a Carers Trust meeting. HRH The Duke of Gloucester carried out engagements in Germany in his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Army Medical Corps.

Wednesday 27 March
HRH The Prince of Wales is visiting Kew Gardens. His Royal Highness will plant a tree to celebrate the life of Professor Wangari Muta Maathai, Africa’s first Environmental and Woman Nobel Peace Laureate; while HRH The Duchess of Cornwall visits The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon.

It’s a busy day for HRH The Countess of Wessex in the Midlands. Her Royal Highness will visit the headquarters of Lions Clubs International in Birmingham, open Sandwell College in West Bromwich and attend a QARANC Corps Day Service and lunch in Staffordshire.

On Wednesday HRH The Princess Royal will be in London to present the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers’ Princess Royal Award at Buckingham Palace. Her Royal Highness will also attend Red R UK’s annual reception.

Thursday 28 March
Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh are attending the Maundy Service at Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford. Her Majesty will distribute Maundy Money to local elderly residents.
