A sous chef is kind of like a deputy chef in the kitchen, coming after the executive chef in the ‘chain of command’, the job advertisement recently appeared on the Royal Household’s website and stated that the mandatory requirements were: a person must be willing to spend approximately three months of the year away from London working at other UK residences and must have a City and Guilds catering qualification (or equivalent).
The job will earn you a cool £23,000 ($35,670) per year for 45 hours work a week.
