Ten Saudi Princes detained by anti-corruption body

Ten Princes and dozens of former ministers have been detained in Saudi Arabia by a newly formed anti-corruption body.

Local media report that the detentions follow investigations into the 2009 Jeddah floods as well as the 2012 outbreak of the Mers virus.

Those detained have not been named and no official explanation has been given for their removal.

The Saudi Royal Princes’ private planes have been grounded.

Just a few hours ago, a new anti-corruption committee, which made the detentions, was formed by royal decree.

This is a breaking news story. More information will be posted once it becomes available.
