Prince & Princess of Wales

Prince William reportedly thinks the portrayal of his wife in comedy show ‘The Windsors’ is hilarious

The Duke of Cambridge reportedly loves the Channel 4 show, The Windsors, a comedy which parodies life in The Royal Family.

The fictional show is written like a soap opera but is based on real-life current events surrounding The Royal Family and portrays them in a mocking way.

Speaking to the Express, A royal insider said: “The Duke finds The Windsors absolutely hilarious. He loves it. He finds the whole ‘Kate is a gypsy’ thing particularly funny.

“He watched the whole of the first series and will be tuned in for the second.”

The show, which has just begun airing its second season, isn’t without its critics. In one episode, the character portraying the Duchess of Cambridge catches Ebola, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie become radicalised.

The Windsors star Harry Enfield as the Prince of Wales and Haydn Gwynne as the Duchess of Cornwall.

In the show, Camilla is portrayed as a cartoon villainess determined to become Queen.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is portrayed by Louise Ford, is shown as a gypsy traveller who doesn’t fit in with The Royal Family.

We don’t normally hear about what the favorite shows the Royals tune in to when they wish to relax and unwind from their busy days. It was previously, it was revealed that The Duchess of Cambridge and The Queen were huge fans of Downton Abbey. Her Majesty even toured the set where she met cast members and even observed filming.

The Queen also visited the set of Game of Thrones in Belfast a couple of years ago but declined to sit on the Iron Throne.
