His last engagement in Christchurch had Harry visit Odyssey House, which affords therapeutic assistance and education to clients with drug and alcohol addictions. Residents at Odyssey House receive group therapy as well as recreational activities and chances to acquire new trades that will assist them in everyday life

Harry met with groups of residents who were carrying out their general daily tasks, such as food preparation, woodworking in the workshop and a group meeting.

Harry bid farewell to Christchurch and headed to New Zealand’s largest Army Base, Linton Military Camp. The base is home to numerous battalions and regiments.

Although Captain Wales is leaving the Armed Forces in the UK next month, he is still committed to the military and continuing to support those who serve.

As a central part of his life, Harry will continue to foster his relationship with other military forces around the globe. He is keen on building relationships since serving alongside numerous coalition forces during his tours in Afghanistan as well as continue to promote and expand his Invictus Games.

Last week, Harry finished his four-week military exchange with the Australian Defence Force. His visit to Linton will offer the prince the chance to learn more about New Zealand’s Defence abilities before he returns to the UK.

During his visit, Harry had the opportunity to drive an All Terrain Vehicle and Light Armoured Vehicle. He also learned the NZ Army Haka, and not to be outdone by his recent oyster shucking on Stewart Island; he lifted a H?ngi meal from its cooking pit for lunch with service personnel and their families.

Always ready to take part in sport, Harry played in a touch rugby tournament with children of service personnel who reside on base.

In the evening, Prince Harry will stay at the nearby Ohakea Air Base. RNZAF Base Ohakea is an operational base of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. The Base opened in 1939 and located near Bulls, approximatively 25 km north-west of Palmerston North in the Manawatu.

On Thursday, Harry will spend a full day in Whanganui. His day will begin when he meets the Governor General at the Putiki Marae. Putiki was the principal Maori settlement near the Whanganui River mouth.

One cannot deny New Zealand loves Prince Harry and it seems Harry may feel the same way. From pulling faces with kids, hugging dogs and feeling comfortable enough to give an interview and insight into his future, it seems Harry has found his stride since turning thirty.
