Prince Harry and his long-term girlfriend Cressida Bonas have reportedly separated after a two-year relationship, according to several notable sources including the Telegraph and People Magazine.
Some media sources have suggested that the split could simply be he couple “taking a breather,” though other sources suggest the split is definite. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge once also split for a short period of time.
Princess Eugenie, Prince Harry’s cousin, is known to have introduced the couple originally and is a good friend of Cressida.
Despite the media frenzy that obsessed over their life and reported their every move, the couple had always tried to keep their relationship out of the public eye. Miss Bonas was known to have struggled to cope with the pressure of being talked about as a future Princess.
Today the Prince spent the day at a recovery centre for wounded servicemen, promoting the Invictus Games, the Paralympics-style event that will be held in London for the first time in September.
In recent months, the couple had been seen eating out together and Miss Bonas even attended her first official event last month at the of a charity event for Save The Children at Wembley Arena. Two days later, they attended a Six Nations rugby match but have not been seen in public together since then.
The couple also traveled abroad with each other to Kazakstan earlier in the year. They went to the country in March for a skiing holiday. They were first seen together back in 2012 after watching the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises.
Whilst the story is widely reported, Buckingham Palace don’t comment on personal matters to do with the Royal Family as a matter of routine and an official confirmation of this nature is out of the question. The original source of the information is unknown, though several authoritative sources have assented to the reports.
