The royal, daughter of Princess Anne, admitted she is “not a big gardener” as she attended the Chelsea Flower Show earlier this week.
Despite not being a fan of gardening, Zara did explain she feels gardens are important for children and for future generations.
“All kids grow up in a garden playing, so I guess it does play a part in their lives”
The 32-year old made the comments as she visited cousin Prince Harry’s garden. Harry’s garden was a star attraction this year, the B&Q garden was to promote his charity Sentebale and received royal visits from the Queen and Prince Charles.
Along with the monarch and Harry’s father, Zara spent time at the garden, when asked what she thought of gardening the olympic winner revealed: “I’m not a big gardener but I do like to look at a nice garden”.
Zara, is married to rugby player Mike Tindall who earlier this week praised Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge.
The rugby player speaking at a charity golf tournament revealed he thinks Prince William and Kate Middleton, as she was known before her marriage, will be great parents.
“Willy, sorry, Prince William, will be outstanding while Kate is a natural mother,” the ex-England captain said on Tuesday.
“I’m so happy for those two. They’ll be great parents.” he told the Daily Mirror.
