Their Royal Highnesses Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie of York attended their first Royal garden party at Buckingham Palace yesterday. They joined their grandparents, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, His Royal Highness The Duke of York and Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.
This was the second of Her Majesty’s annual garden parties of the season. They normally take place in June and July but have been brought forward this year due to the celebrations to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
Princess Beatrice wore a monochrome print dress, black jacket and chic court shoes as she and her younger sister, Eugenie conversed with some of the 8000 guests in attendance. Princess Eugenie looked stylish in a white dress, nude cropped jacket, an unusual Arum lily-inspired hat and black wedge-heeled espadrilles.
Their attendance at the event occurred on the same day that it was announced that their father, Prince Andrew The Duke of York, unveiled his new website which gives further insight into his role and the roles of his daughters. The site revealed that Princess Beatrice has a full time job in the finance sector, whilst Princess Eugenie is pursuing a career in art.
The Princesses are expected to join the Royal family at a service to mark the 60th anniversary of the coronation of Her Majesty The Queen at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday.
