Princess Eugenie will move to New York later this year after winning a job at an online art auction house.
The young Princess, daughter of Prince Andrew, is set to move stateside for a period of time after being offered a job at the US company Paddle8.
Eugenie, 23, currently resides in London after completing a English Literature and Art History degree at Newcastle university. The Princess only carries out a few royal duties a year, and as expected, does not intend to become a full time working royal.
“She’s determined to do things her own way. She’s very committed to working in the art world,” a friend revealed.
The sixth-in-line, who will drop to seventh, when the royal baby comes along, will move to the Big Apple in October. Eugenie will be leaving behind her boyfriend Jack Brooksbank while she takes up the position in New York.
However, Eugenie intends to keep the romance with Jack alive during her stay with regular trips. The princess will eventually return to London when the company opens up a London office. The company is also involved in charity auctions, which will keep Eugenie busy.
The Princess graduated from Newcastle University last year with a 2:1, and has kept busy since her graduation with work experience, including a time at the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace.
Eugenie most recently took part in this year’s Trooping the Colour to celebrate her grandmother The Queen’s birthday.
