Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex are to attend the New Forest Show on Wednesday 31st July.
The royal couple will give the show a royal seal of approval for the second year in a row after last year’s visit from The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex are to visit the New Forest Show.
The three-day event was given a special visit by her majesty in 2012 when she stopped by the show on her Diamond Jubilee Tour. Guests of the show dressed up in red, white and blue to welcome the royal visit.
“We are absolutely delighted that the Earl and Countess of Wessex will be coming round the showground,” the show’s president Mike Richards said. “They will be getting involved in the whole programme of events.”
Last year’s visit by the Queen was described as a “highlight” by show chairman George Morgan and he has revealed he is excited for this year’s royal guests.
“The royal visit was definitely a highlight last year, so I can’t wait for the The Earl and Countess of Wessex to have a look round.”
Earlier this month, the Countess of Wessex was praised for her dedication and compassion when visiting a school in London.
Sophie stopped by The Vale School in Haringey as part of her royal duties when headteacher Sarah McLay spoke of her joy of the royal’s visit.
“It was a pleasure to welcome Her Royal Highness and esteemed guests to our school,” Sarah said. “The Countess spoke to every student which made them feel very special.”
