Her Royal Highness Princess Haya bint Al Hussein has joined Twitter.
The account was created on 23 October, and she already has over 2,300 followers. So far, the Princess has only sent 22 tweets, in both English and Arabic, regarding topics like the United Nations and the ongoing Rohingya refugee crisis taking place in Asia.
At the moment, she is only following four people: her brother, Prince Ali Al Hussein; husband, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; her step-son, Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed; and the Dubai Media Office. Surprisingly, she is not yet following her brother, King Abdullah of Jordan or the Royal Hashemite Court.

Princess Haya was born to the late King Hussein of Jordan and his third wife, the late Queen Alia, on 3 May 1974 in Amman. She has a younger brother, Prince Ali and younger sister, Abir Muhaisen, the latter of whom was adopted by the King and Queen after her mother was killed in a plane crash at a refugee camp in Jordan. Haya has an older half-sister, Princess Alia, from her father’s first marriage to the former Queen Dina of Jordan.
Her Royal Highness’s older half-brother, King Abdullah, is from her father’s second marriage to Princess Muna. She has three other older half-siblings from King Hussein’s second marriage: Prince Faisal, Princess Aisha and Princess Zein. Additionally, she has four younger half-siblings from her father’s fourth marriage to Queen Noor: Prince Hamzah, Prince Hashim, Princess Iman and Princess Raiyah.
Haya married Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai in 2004. They have two children: Sheikha Jalila and Sheikh Zayed.
