It is being reported that Princess Brigitta of Prussia, wife to the recently deceased Prince Michael of Prussia, has committed suicide at the age of 77.
According to BUNTE, Brigitta was found dead in her house after police were called to the property by a neighbour concerned for her wellbeing.
According to the German publication, Brigitta told neighbours that she was going away for a few days, however, when she didn’t return after a week and wasn’t answering her mobile phone, police were called.
Neighbours were further concerned when they realised her car was parked in the garage.
Speaking to BUNTE, a neighbour said: “It was clear that something had happened. The police were called. In the house, the officers discovered their body.”
The circumstances of Brigitta’s death still remain unconfirmed, however, it is understood that she was still in mourning after the death of her husband two years ago.
Brigitta married Prince Michael of Prussia in 1982. He died aged 74 in April 2014.
