Norwegian and Swedish royals have reunited on the slopes in Åre, Sweden.
The Crown Prince Couple of Norway and the Crown Princess Family of Sweden, who are very close friends, are in Åre for the Alpine World Cup, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway posted two images with her husband, Crown Prince Haakon and their Swedish counterparts on the slopes.
The Crown Princess said, “Hey Norway .. and a little Sweden then !!! 🇳🇴🇸🇪 Looking forward to seeing more of those who are a little better at skiing than us 🎿⛷💪🏻 here in Åre! ❤️”
Haakon’s sister, Princess Märtha Louise commented on the picture and said, “Oh so cosy. Big hug to all!”
While the Crown Prince Couple of Norway did not bring their two children, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 15, and Prince Sverre Magnus, 13, to the competition on Friday, Crown Princess Victoria (Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s godmother) and Prince Daniel did bring their two children to take in the events.
Princess Estelle, 6, and Prince Oscar, 2, were pictured with their parents and godparents watching the competitions on Friday. As usual, Estelle displayed her energetic facial expressions and had some time to bond with her godfather, Crown Prince Haakon, as well as with Mette-Marit – who wore a matching Sweden hat with the little royal. Prince Oscar was also able to spend quality time with his godmother, Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
The Norwegian Royal Court shared images on Instagram from Friday stating, “Bronze for Ragnhild Mowinckel. 🥉The Crown Prince Couple followed the women’s super combination during the Alpine World Championships in Åre today. The Swedish Crown Princess Family was also in place. After the race, the Crown Princess couple at Ragnhild Mowinckel and Kajsa Vickhoff Lie greeted them with bronze and 7th place.”
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel will remain in Åre through Sunday. King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia will join their daughter and son-in-law today and remain at the Alpine World Cup through Monday.
Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit arrived in Åre on the 8th and will stay there until the 10th.
