The Swedish Royal Court released a new photo of 8-month-old Prince Oscar today. The photo was taken in the park outside of Haga Palace by Kate Gabor in October.
The Swedish Royal Court said on their official Instagram, “Autumn greetings from Haga through Prince Oscar.”
The Crown Princess family lives in Haga Palace, which was gifted to the couple by the Swedish government for their 2010 nuptials.
This is the second autumn themed photo released by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of their son. They released a photo, taken by The Crown Princess, of the Duke of Skåne five weeks ago on 30 September.
His Royal Highness was featured sitting on hay with a pumpkin in his lap. On this occasion, they said, “Greetings from Solliden Palace and Öland’s harvest festival.”
It was also revealed today that Katie Millington, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar’s nanny, had resigned. The Royal Court did not want to comment on the news.
His Royal Highness Prince Oscar Carl Olof, Duke of Skåne was born on 2 March 2016 at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna, Sweden. He is the second child and only son of the Crown Princess Couple. Their daughter, four-year-old Princess Estelle was born on 23 February 2012.
His name and title were revealed by his grandfather, King Carl XVI Gustaf at a cabinet meeting with members of the Swedish government on 3 March, with his uncle, Prince Carl Philip in attendance as well.
His Royal Highness was christened on 27 May at the Royal Chapel in Stockholm Palace. Oscar’s godparents were announced the day before as Princess Madeleine, his maternal aunt; Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, maternal cousin; Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway; Oscar Magnuson, maternal cousin; and Hans Åström, paternal cousin.
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel married 19 June 2010 at Stockholm Cathedral. The wedding took place exactly thirty-four years after Victoria’s parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia wed in the same location. Victoria wore the Cameo Tiara like her mother did in 1974.
