Princess Viktoria of Bourbon-Parma joins Twitter

Since yesterday Twitter has another Royal member. Princess Viktória of Bourbon-Parma has very recently joined Twitter. Princess Viktória is the wife of Prince Jaime of Bourbon-Parma, a cousin of King Willem-Alexander. Ever since Prince Jaime became Ambassador of the Netherlands to the Holy See (Vatican), the couple lives with their two daughters Zita Clara and Gloria Irene in Rome, Italy. Because of this, it was not easy to follow their official engagements, but now that has changed as the Princess has been posting her recent activities on her page.

Princess Viktória describes herself as a mother, lawyer, food & agriculture enthusiast, nutrition nerd, a fan of farmers and patron of Save the Children on her Twitter page. She also states that she strives to help end hunger and malnutrition. Those are also the subjects of her recent tweets. The Princess follows mostly organisations that strive to end hunger and malnutrition worldwide, and different departments of the organisation Save the Children NL of whom she is a patron. Of course, she also follows Princess Mabel and her own husband, Prince Jaime of Bourbon-Parma.

Viktória became a Princess when she married Prince Jaime in 2013. She has said in the past that the title of Princess remains quite vague. She is however very happy to use her title to bring issues like malnutrition and hunger worldwide under attention. That is for her what being a Princess is all about.

Princess Viktória also announced that she will be speaking at the 40th Session of FAO (Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations) Conference in Rome today.
