Their Serene Highnesses Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, the three-year-old twins of Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, celebrated their third birthday on 10 December.
Prince Albert recently revealed to People Magazine that the twins spent their birthday weekend with two separate parties spread out over a couple of days. He called the parties “great fun.”
No photos have been released from the celebrations – at least not yet. Last year, the Prince’s Palace released several images from Gabriella and Jacques’ second birthday party that had a jungle theme.
This year’s theme had a Polar Arctic setting at the Oceanographic Museum, which was organised by Princess Charlene. The twins celebrated alongside friends from “kids’ club or the daycare centre and their parents,” according to Albert.
Albert also told People, “That was Friday at the big room in the Oceanographic Museum, at this special display they’re having for the holidays.
“It’s kind of a Polar Arctic setting. There’s stuff like mechanized polar bears that move their hands and arms — it was really fun.
“Then we had a little celebration up at Roc Agel yesterday with Charlene’s family, and that was nice.”
As for gifts, Prince Jacques received little truck and launcher Hot Wheels with his father saying, “You know with the rubber band? So he can have them do the looping.”
He then joked that he didn’t know how Jacques had so many Hot Wheels, “I don’t know who’s given him these, because I only gave him a few and he’s got at least 25 different little Hot Wheels cars now.”
As for Princess Gabriella? She was given a Barbie doll and Barbie Dream Horse. People asked if it was a Barbie princess to which Albert responded, “No just a Barbie. Let’s not overdo the princess thing, okay?”
The twins recently had their first haircut with Princess Charlene sharing several snaps on her Instagram account from the day. Just a few days later, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques joined their family at the celebrations of Monaco’s National Day on 19 November.
The three-year-olds are expected to feature in the 2017 Christmas card that is expected to be released by the Prince and Princess of Monaco in the coming days.
