Princess Caroline of Monaco and family attend charity gala dinner

Last week, Princess Caroline of Monaco stepped out to attend the gala dinner of “La Fondation Motrice”. The Princess was accompanied by her children and their partners.

“La Fondation Motrice” holds a gala dinner annually to raise money for the charity. This year the Monégasque Princely Family stepped out in full force to attend the dinner. The event took place at the Salomon Hotel in Paris, France. Princess Caroline of Monaco, a sister of Prince Albert II, was accompanied by her eldest son Andrea and his wife Tatiana Casiraghi, son Pierre Casiraghi and his wife the Italian journalist Beatrice Borromeo, her daughter Charlotte Casiraghi and her youngest Princess Alexandra of Hannover. Charlotte Casiraghi also brought along her boyfriend, Dimitri Rassam.

La Fondation Motrice is a Paris-based organisation which funds research on cerebral palsy, one of the most frequent motor impairment disorders among children. This year the foundation celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Andrea Casiraghi has been the patron of the Motrice Foundation since 2006. While studying, he became good friends with a fellow student who had cerebral palsy. The father of that student founded “La Fondation Motrice”. Therefore the eldest of the Casiraghi children attend the dinner annually. He is also involved in other activities of the charity.

Princess Caroline and her family posed with Andrea’s close friend who is suffering from cerebral palsy before taking their seats at the dinner table. Andrea and Tatiana Casiraghi also gave an interview to Point De Vue about the charity, saying: “You have to fight for life.”

Andrea, Pierre and Charlotte are the children of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Stefano Casiraghi. Stefano passed away after an accident with a speedboat. The young mother was left to raise the three children on her own. Princess Caroline remarried the Prince of Hannover with whom she has a daughter Princess Alexandra of Hannover. Even though the couple never separated, the two have been living apart for several years now.

Several pictures also seemed to hint that Tatiana Casiraghi (b. Santo Domingo) is expecting another baby. Photos of the past month seem to confirm this as well. The court has never confirmed the news and is not likely to do so until after the baby is born. Andrea and Tatiana already have two children, Alexandre “Sasha” Andrea Stefano and India. The children hold the 5th and 6th position in line to the throne. The (possibly) new baby would be the 5th grandchild of Princess Caroline.
