Their Serene Highnesses have released several new Christmas themed photographs. They were taken in Salon des Glaces at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco by Vanessa Von Zitzewitz.
In total, six photographs were released along with their 2016 Christmas card. There is one full family photo and one photo of the Prince of Monaco with Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques. Then Gabriella and Jacques feature in two individual pictures. All of the images can be seen here.
The Prince’s Palace released the images on their official Facebook page on Thursday, 22 December. The images this year are more formal than the 2015 pictures featuring the Monégasque Princely Family in a more laid-back setting at their Roc Agel retreat.
The photos were taken on 3 December. This was the same day Charlene and the twins surprised Prince Albert at the Christmas market that he had opened only moments before. Just a few days later, on 10 December, Gabriella and Jacques celebrated their second birthday.
According to People Magazine, the one-hour long photo shoot was “a very joy-filled, fun morning session.”
An attendee at the photo shoot explained to People, “[Prince Albert] was very cool, taking pictures on his own while the children played with the tree, the fruit, whatever there was around them. It was the kids who made the magic. It was a very belle rendezvous.”
Their 2016 Christmas card reads, “May the joy and peace of the holiday season be with you in this New Year 2017,” in French, English, and Monégasque.
The joint monogram of Albert and Charlene are at the top of both sides of the card, with the signatures of Their Serene Highnesses at the bottom of their Christmas message.
