Monaco royal twins turn four

Monaco’s royal twins, Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques celebrated their fourth birthday yesterday in the Prince’s Palace with a superhero themed party.

Their proud mum, Princess Charlene shared several images from the day on her official Instagram account yesterday saying that the twins had “so much fun” and thanked the “true heroes”, the firemen who surprised everyone at the celebration. Jacques and Gabriella were even given a ride on the firetruck’s ladder, which Charlene captured on camera.

Her Serene Highness said on her social media, “Such fun at our party! Thank you to our firemen for the surprise visit! Our True Heroes.”

The images garnered thousands of likes and over 300 comments with people from all over wishing the Prince and Princess a happy birthday.

The Prince’s Palace also shared a one and a half minute video from the celebrations in the Ice Salon of the Prince’s Palace. It had been decorated by the Palace’s staff into the “Super Hero” theme which included Spiderman, Batman, and Captain America. Princesses were also featured – a favourite of Gabriella.

They each had a cake of their own to blow out the candles; Jacques’ cake was Spiderman themed while Gabriella’s was a princess theme. Their Serene Highnesses later got two piñatas – one Spiderman and one a pink castle.

Besides their parents, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene, Gabriella and Jacques were joined by many of their pre-school classmates.

The four-year-olds are expected to feature in the 2018 Christmas card that is expected to be released by the Prince and Princess of Monaco in the coming days, as they have each year since 2015.
