George Clooney gets advice from Prince Albert on being a father of twins

George Clooney and his wife Amal are expecting twins. The world-renowned actor received advice on how to be the father of twins from Prince Albert of Monaco himself. Some of the advice included, having a cup of black coffee in the morning and making sure you have some easy reading material.

Prince Albert does not hide the fact that it is demanding to be a parent of twins. George better, “get some sleep stored away before the babies are born,” Prince Albert told People Magazine. “Fortunately for Charlene and for me, that was never really an issue,” he admits. “Gabriella and Jacques were relatively good sleepers from the start.

The reason is, of course, that Clooney and his wife Amal will soon become parents of twins – a situation which Prince Albert knows very well himself because he and his wife Charlène have two-year-old twins, Jacques, Hereditary Prince of Monaco and Princess Gabriella. “About the coffee, I know that sounds pretty standard, but it’s really, really important,” Prince Albert said.

“There’s actually a very good little book on being the father of twins,” said Prince Albert. A Dad’s Guide to Twins, by Joe Rawlinson “was really helpful,” he said. “It has some sound advice and is pretty easy to read.”  He admits that his own copy remains extremely well thumbed.

After much speculation, it was confirmed in early October 2014, that Princess Charlene was pregnant. On 10 December 2014, Princess Gabriella was born at Monaco’s Princess Grace Hospital, followed two minutes later by her brother. Gabriella and Jacques were baptised at the Cathedral of Monaco on 10 May 2015.
