Charlotte Casiraghi reportedly engaged to Dimitri Rassam

After several weeks of rumours, Charlotte Casiraghi, the daughter of Princess Caroline and ninth in line to the Monégasque throne, appeared to confirm her engagement to her French-Lebanese boyfriend, 36-year-old Dimitri Rassam, at the annual Monaco Rose Ball on Saturday night in Monte Carlo. The 31-year-old was spotted with a diamond ring on the ring finger of her left hand as she arrived with Rassam.

According to reports, the couple is set to wed this summer in Sicily whereRassam’s family owns a villa, but there has been no official confirmation from Princess Caroline or the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. Rassam is the son of the late French-Lebanese film producer, Jean-Pierre Rassam and French actress, Carole Bouquet.

Dimitri Rassam will become the stepfather of Charlotte’s son, Raphaël, from her previous relationship with Gad Elmaleh. Raphaël was born in December 2013.

The 64th edition of the event, which was hosted by designer Karl Lagerfeld, was also attended by Charlotte’s mother, Princess Caroline; brother, Pierre Casiraghi; sister-in-law, Beatrice Borromeo; and younger sister, Princess Alexandra of Hanover.

They married in 2015, first in a civil ceremony at the Prince’s Palace in July and a second time in a religious service in Italy in August.
