Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark will travel to Sweden in May to participate in a business promotion for Danish industries. They will be in Sweden on the 29th and 30th of May.
They will head the Danish business delegation under the heading “Liveable Scandinavia.” They will be in the Swedish capital of Stockholm for their trip, and the couple will participate in a number of events with Danish businesses. These events include attending the “official opening of the campaign and visits to industry stands and business seminars,” according to the Royal Danish House.
Three sectors will be the central focus. They are Intelligent Healthcare, Sustainable Cities, and Modern Lifestyle.
The trip to Sweden could also give the couple time to visit their close friends, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, and their two children, Estelle and Oscar. Crown Princess Mary is one of the godmothers to Princess Estelle, and Crown Prince Frederik is one of the godfathers to Prince Oscar.
Frederik’s mother, Queen Margrethe, recently spoke about her son’s friendship with Victoria and Daniel, as well as with Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, “The Crown Prince is a very, very good friend of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. The same is true of his relationship with Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit. They meet often, both at home with each other and the world. They are closer together than I was with my cousins, as the three heirs, faith is closer in age.”
The Crown Prince and Prince last headed a Danish business delegation to the United States in the cities of Washington D.C. and Boston, Massachusetts, in late September and early October of last year.
Full details on their Swedish trip will be released closer to their visit to the Scandinavian nation.
