In addition to contributing to the opening of the festival, the Crown Princess named a new rose on the same occasion; she also attended the Odense Flower Festival’s subsequent reception at Odense City Hall. “This new rose will, in the future, lead to gardens around the world, where it will spread the joy of many people. I baptise this new rose ‘What a Wonderful World’,” said the Crown Princess on the occasion.

The Odense Flower Festival lasts from 17 august to 20 August.
