Crown Princess Mary is the new patron of the European Emergency Medical Services Congress

It has been announced that Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has become the patron of the European Emergency Medical Services Congress (EEMSC). This organisation focuses on those who save people’s lives.

The European Emergency Medical Service’s director, Freddy Lippert, said this about Mary’s acceptance of the patronage, “We are very proud that the Crown Princess has chosen to be the patron of EMS2017. Crown Princess’ commitment underlines the important work of ambulance personnel and emergency physicians perform every day.”

The second annual European Emergency Medical Services Congress will take place on the 22nd of May – the first with the Crown Princess as their patron. The charitable organisation puts its focus on the pre-hospital staff who save lives and help others on a daily basis. The congress will take place from 22 through the 24 of May in Copenhagen at the Tivoli Hotel. Copenhagen’s emergency medical service is hosting the event.

The EEMSC adds to the long list of patronages for Denmark’s future queen. She is also the patron of the Youth Association of Science, Maternity Foundation, Danish Refugee Aid, Designers’ Nest Show & Award, World Health Organization, Regional Office for Europe, The Australian Twin Registry and the Danish Twin Registry, among many others. Her Royal Highness is the chairman of her namesake foundation, The Mary Foundation (or Mary Fond in Danish).
