Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece launches second children’s clothes collection for Marks and Spencer

Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece is preparing to launch her second collection of children’s clothes for Marks and Spencer. Her children’s clothes have been worn by the children of those with high-profiles and royals. Princesses Estelle and Leonore of Sweden are just two examples. Ahead of the launch, she was interviewed by Marks and Spencer (M&S) about her new line.

Marie-Chantal said that she could not have found a better partner than Marks and Spencer and reflected back to her childhood visits to the UK for shopping trips, “When I was living in Hong Kong as a young girl, I would come to England once a year and we’d do these big shops. M&S was a definite stop, so it’s always been in my DNA.”

When asked about where she gets her inspiration for her designs, she said it was her family, “I have five children – the eldest is 20, the youngest is eight – so I always go back to how I used to dress them, or I go back to my own childhood and think of those beautiful nostalgic memories. I think parents do that; they love to remember their own childhood.”

The Crown Princess explained that she likes to use soft, natural fabrics that are 100% machine washable and wanted to bring things from her personal line into the designs she created for M&S. The collection ranges from baby to five years. She said she is thrilled to be launching this new line adding, “I feel together we have created a beautiful range of boys’ and girls’ summer essentials partnering clean, crisp, fresh fabrics with the use of happy colours for a collection that captures the essence of what this season is to me.”

Marie-Chantal perfectly summed up the new line saying, “It’s playful, it’s everyday, it’s special, it’s a little bit dressy, it’s casual but with a beautiful twist.”

For those who want to purchase from the Marie-Chantal collection, it can be bought on the Marks and Spencer website; they have a US and UK store.
