The office staff of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have completed their move to Kensington Palace, Royal Central has discovered today.
Kensington Palace is now where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s household is fully based.
A royal source told us that William and Kate’s office staff completed their move after several months of ‘evolving’ from being based at St James’s Palace to Kensington Palace.
Whilst the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s staff have completed their move to Kensington Palace, the Duke and Duchess themselves are still yet to complete their move into Apartment 1A. We were told that the move into the 21-room home will probably be completed in the autumn.
It is not clear whether Prince Harry’s staff have also moved to Kensington Palace yet.
The renovations to Apartment 1A were announced to be £1 million when official figures were released by the Royal Household about costs & income recently.
The home has been decorated out and will house William and Kate and their future baby when they are in London.
Example of a letter on behalf of Prince William from St James’s Palace – this will now say Kensington Palace on future mail.
As a result of this office move being finalised now, letters dispatched on behalf of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will have the heading ‘Kensington Palace’ instead of ‘St James’s Palace’.
