The photos, taken by Mario Testino, were released on the Kensington Palace Twitter account and show the Cambridges along with Princess Charlotte and Prince George, as well as a photo with The Queen and Middleton family.

Princess Charlotte – now just over two months old – was christened on Sunday at St Mary Magdalene Church near Sandringham, in a private ceremony attended by The Queen and the Cambridges’ immediate family, as well as the Middletons.

The photos join a now growing number of those of the baby Princess, both publicly taken since her birth and the small number released by Kensington Palace since.

Taken following the Christening service, the Royal Family and invited guests returned to Sandringham House for a tea, hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, where slices of the christening cake –  a tier taken from their wedding cake – was served to guests.

The family photo features The Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Michael, Carole, James and Pippa Middleton together and was taken in a drawing room at Sandringham House.

As well as the family photo and the photo of all four members of the Cambridge family together (the first such photo released), there were two photos of the Duke of Cambridge and Prince George and the Duchess of Cambridge with Princess Charlotte respectively.

Prince Harry, meanwhile, was absent from the christening as he travels to Africa to perform charity work for the coming weeks.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their whole family had a wonderful day on Sunday and were delighted to share the special occasion with the thousands of people who came to Sandringham.

“They are very happy to share these photographs and hope that everyone enjoys them as much as they do.”
