Prince William to hold charity dinner at Windsor Castle

In November of last year, the Duke of Cambridge visited the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, where he watched two operations being performed. Now, he will host a grand dinner at Windsor Castle, to support the work of and raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Prince William is the President of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. He assumed the position in 2007, succeeding his mother, Diana, who held the post from 1989 to 1997. As President, the Prince has performed a number of engagements such as visiting the hospital and meeting with patients. In 2011, he opened a new children’s cancer unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Surrey.

The exclusive charity event will take place on Tuesday, the 13th of May. Among those in attendance will be American fashion designer Ralph Lauren, who is flying to the UK specially for the occasion. Mr. Lauren recently announced that his intention to enter into a philanthropic partnership with the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. His involvement with the charity will be honoured at the event.

Ok please explain why Kate will not attend this engagement with William. The tour was a success and it was sait that they work so well toether. So if this is true then why is not not included. Also William played polo today and again no Kate. So it look’s like trouble in the marriage to me. William partied like a single guy at the wedding in Memphis again no Kate. Something is nit right.

^ For God’s sake leave them alone!!
Kate is busy enough nursing their baby son.

For god sake I was just asking a question. And she is not nursing anymore. William even made a statement to that.

          maybe she is pregnant

        I hope you’re being sarcastic!

It is very weird that Kate is not attending this high profile event for a charity of which her husband is President. Separate vacations 6 weeks ago (she to family ocean resort and he to Spain hunting), Will’s trip to Memphis alone, his solo re-dedication on May 11 of the HMS Alliance submarine, Kate not at his polo match, and now she’s a no-show for Marsden foundation fund-raiser. There also are no official appearances on Kate’s schedule for coming months. Don’t like it when people call her Duchess Do-little, but she does seem to be a bit of a slacker.

Of course the young Orince George would not be expected to attend a formal dinner at Windsor Castle but certainly the Duchess, his mother, would be expected to attend to at least lend support to her husband’s charity event and in doing so draw attention to the worthy cause. By the statement in the article it seems she feels her presence is more noteworthy than the charity itself…….a bit egotistical on her part. Time for the Queen to call her in for a chat on humility and performing service work for causes other than her own misplaced senses of self-importance!
