The first official photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with the now almost one-month old Prince George have been released.
The photos were taken in the back garden of the Middletons’ family home in Bucklebury by Michael Middleton last month.
The first picture shows the Cambridges with their cocker spaniel Lupo and the Middleton family dog, a retriever called Tilly. The second picture shows the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George alone in the Middleton family’s garden.
It was anticipated by many that the Duke and Duchess would choose to release their own photographs of Prince George after a comment to a member of the media from Kensington Palace, said that it was one of the options they were looking into. The releasing of these photos from the private collection of the Cambridges is unusual by royal standards.
Prince William himself was seen earlier today on a snippet of the interview he gave to Max Foster from CNN in which he talked about how Catherine is doing a ‘fantastic job‘ and how relieved he was to get back to work. He also referred to how the last few weeks for him “have been just a very different emotional experience.”
The new father said a formal goodbye to Anglesey last week when he attended the Anglesey show. In Welsh, he said: “Thank you people of Anglesey. It is a great pleasure to be here. I am so proud to have lived on Anglesey, the Mother of Wales.” It is expected the Duke will now take up a position back in the Blues and Royals (where he, like his brother, is known as Captain Wales), possibly as an Adjutant.
Also, as renovations complete at Kensington Palace, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be looking forward to settling in fully to the newly-refurbished Apartment 1A which will be their home from then on in. The Cambridges could also be soon occupying Anmer Hall, and according to reports the residence would act as a country home for the family.
Presently, the family spend a lot of time at the Middletons’ home in Bucklebury, which offers a peaceful setting, quite comprehensive privacy and also Catherine’s family on hand to help when it all gets too much.
