Californian company makes custom pram for Prince George

Kid Kustoms, a California-based company with celebrity clients that include Kourtney Kardashian and Mariah Carey, has received the assignment of a lifetime – to build a one-of-a-kind set of wheels for the future King.

Joe Iacono is the creator of “The Roddler”; a three-wheeled Hot Rod Baby’s pram that resembles the glory days of American car culture. The features consist of custom painted fenders, leather upholstery and white wall tyres.

“I was really excited about this one,” Iacono said. “Because of all of the hype with the Royal baby, it’s the coolest thing for any baby company.”

He says that the telephone call came from someone within the inner circle of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

“They wanted to do a British racing green theme stroller for Prince George,” said Iacono. “Brits all put big circles on the side of their cars and they wanted the number 2 on the side of it,” he added. “I just had to make sure that it had the Union Jack on it.”

Although he won’t say who made the call, Iacono states that the $4500 fee has been wired to him and the custom-made pram, with its leather seat and smooth ride, is ready to be shipped to the United Kingdom.

The Royal couple will get plenty of use out of Iacono’s creation – when Prince George outgrows the pram, it will convert into a tricycle, perfect for whizzing through Kensington Gardens with mum and Lupo.
