It seems as if William and Catherine’s search for a new member of their household is over.

Reports have been surfacing that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have hired a housemaid to see to their Kensington Palace apartment.  As one of Queen Elizabeth II’s trusted housemaids for 13 years, Antonella Fresolone, has now been employed by the Cambridge’s.  Miss Fresolone won out against the competition and, according to the Sunday Express, the Queen has given the Duke and Duchess her blessing to hire a member of her own household.  As an insider told the Express, Miss Fresolone is “renowned for being very hard working.  She is extremely dedicated and fully intends for this job to become her whole life.”  As the Duchess quickly approaches her due date, it seems as if Miss Fresolone is exactly what the royal household needs.  Her duties are reported to involve cooking, cleaning silverware, occasionally looking after the couple’s cocker spaniel, Lupo, and when the time comes, to be on hand to help with the upcoming baby.

The royal couple posted an advertisement, through Buckingham Palace, in January looking for an individual with “discretion, loyalty and reliability.  Attention to detail, together with a flexible and pro-active approach is essential.”  It looks as though the Duke and Duchess have found their woman.
