Royal Central’s Halloween season: a preview

Two weeks tomorrow will be the 31st October, more popularly known as Halloween or All Hallows Eve or All Saints Eve, everyone has a different name for it.

Anne Boleyn is said to haunt the Tower of London.

Anne Boleyn is said to haunt the Tower of London.

There are many popular traditions at Halloween; trick or treating, apple bobbing and carving a pumpkin. But Royal Central wanted to get in on the act and give our readers two weeks worth of stories that are both alarmingly spine-chilling though also horrifyingly royal.

From chilling tales of the Tower of London to the bloodcurdling connections of royalty and witchcraft. From ghosts at Glamis to hauntings at Holyroodhouse. Even the odd Pendle Witch is thrown in, for the next fortnight Royal Central goes over to the supernatural side and brings you a whole host of ghostly, frightening and downright creepy tales.

Our first instalment strikes tomorrow with Tales of the Tower: Anne Boleyn.

Royal Central wishes you a Happy Halloween and as the saying goes, “Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble”.
