Prince William heads back to work

Blogger

For any new father, getting to know your baby is very important, but with only two weeks statutory paternity leave, it is hard for you to go back to work. This is a problem that is facing Prince William this week after he to returns to work in North Wales. What will this mean for the new Cambridge family?medium_9355181254

Well, as far as we know, William is due to go back to Anglesey, North Wales sometime this week to resume his job as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot. Meanwhile, Catherine and Prince George will remain living with her parents in Bucklebury, Berkshire. It has been reported that when Prince William has time off in between shifts, he will travel back down to Bucklebury to see his wife and son to remain close to them. It has also been reported that William is eager for his co-workers and friends to meet his new son, George before he and his wife move off of the island.

It is unclear at the moment how long William is due to remain working at RAF Valley, as his 3 year posting has ended and the RAF Search and Rescue service in the UK is being privatised. There has been speculation in the media into which path William will take next, if he will remain in the Armed Forces, possibly at Windsor or Knightsbridge Barracks rejoining the Household Cavalry Blues and Royals Regiment or whether he will give up his military career to take on many more royal duties.

No official word has been said on the matter as yet, but we also do know that William, Catherine and George will be moving into their new home in Kensington Palace at some point in September or early October. Is this a sign that William will hang up his military career? Or is it just that he wants to move back to London for George to be closer to his uncle, Prince Harry, grandparents, Michael and Carole Middleton, and Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, as well as his great-grandparents, HM The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh?
